Every person needs food,
water, work, housing, school
and medical care. Those who are not poor must share what they have with others.

Hi Kids (“5ers”)!!

Welcome to the 6th and final week of "5 Minutes per Week"!

Hi God,

Wow! We have so much to be thankful for. But today we thank you for your gift of our brains. We are so lucky to be able to take action on our thoughts about helping others.

We love you Lord! Amen

Catholic Social Teaching for the Week An option for the poor and vulnerable: We need to take care of those who do not have food, water, work, housing, school & medical care.

The Texas Legislative Session is almost over. Our representatives and senators end the session soon…..on June FIRST!!! But it’s not too late to either call or write to them about the bill that you picked a couple weeks back. We’re hoping that you were able to take FIVE quick minutes to jot down a letter to your legislator last week.

If you weren’t able, why not do that today. Or pick up the phone and call them with your opinion. You have their phone # from the first week’s activity. You don’t have to be so fancy, simply tell them what you feel and about which bill.

This week check out what’s happening with the bill you picked. Go to the following link and type in your bill #. And remember that we’re still planning to take a real tour of the Capitol soon. We’re working with two representatives to see if they can show us around. We’ll get back to you with dates and times.

Thanks! The “5 Minutes Per Week” team
