Hi Kids!!

Welcome to the 3rd week of "5 Minutes Per Week"!

This week we'll learn a bit more about the Catholic Social Teachings (CST's). CST's are based upon what Jesus taught us is important. The principles and actions we are called to in Catholic social teaching are not "just a nice thing to do" when we have time; it is not at the edges of our lives. The Catholic Social Teachings helps us be who we are called to be by Christ. Let's pray before we jump into this week's fun:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this wonderful weekend. We feel blessed by the ability to run, jump, shout & have fun. Please help us to know your will in our lives & help us to live in peace with our families. We ask this in Jesus' name,

AMEN

For some of you, the following activity may be a review from the Catholic Social Teachings that we studied during the first session of "5 Minutes Per Week". If so and before going forward, see how many you can write down from memory! Test your family members to see who can remember the most CST's!!!

1. To learn about the Catholic Social Teachings (CST's), please go to the following website: stories4justkids.com Click onto social justice & click forward to the 3rd page. Click onto principles. Take a few minutes to read about CST's. It might be fun to do this with your parents.

2. Optional Activity: Draw a picture of what you think represents one of the Catholic Social Teachings. For example, one of us drew a picture of the globe to represent Solidarity. See what you can come up with and send it to us! Have a wonderful week!
